Finding faults is like bad breath. Easy to detect on others, hard to detect on yourself. One of the Chetan Bhagat quotes that got me thinking had to do with how faults of others and myself are dealt with.
When you focus more on self reflection and personal development from a character and value standpoint, it leaves little time else for deconstructive criticism of others. ???
I’ve found it most helpful to surround myself with people who help me leverage my strengths and work with me on my weaknesses as we strive towards excellence in everything that we do.
If we have to put others down in order to feel better about ourselves because of insecurities that haven’t been dealt with, then we need to deal with those first and foremost so we don’t drive people away relationally.
