Did You Know?

The safest option is to use doTERRA essential oils topically with a carrier oil or aromatically with children 6 years and younger due to their smaller bodies and sensitive skin.

The Problem That We All Have To Face

Do you know someone that would like to use essential oils for infants? Would you like to know how to safely use some options that are natural, safe, and effective? Watch the video below to learn more about how to do that!

Top 8 Essential Oils For Infants

1.) Melaleuca: Rub on chest, back, or knees after they’ve been crawling around (especially on carpet)

2.) Digestzen: rub on their stomach and bottoms of feet since this tames the tummy!

3.) Frankincense: This oil can be used to help newborns by rubbing on top of their head. You can also rub on their tummy and helps to boost their mood too.

4.) On Guard: rub on bottoms of feet during bad times of the year., rub on sore gums for teething (use an organic and raw coconut oil with 1/4 drop of oil on finger tip, use tooth pic to get oil out)

5.) Lemon: Make sure to rub this oil on the bottoms of their feet for seasonal threats (their bodies could use the natural detox too). Also helps with supporting healthy immune function. Diffusing Lemon oil is an excellent way to support their immune system since it takes care of airborne threats.

6.) Lavender: rub on spine to help with sleep or calming and relaxing the baby when they are crying. Lavender oil and fractionated coconut oil help with reducing skin irritations that they may get while potty training or playing outside.

7.) Ylang Ylang: If they start crying a lot, you can use 1-2 drops of ylang ylang with 1-2 table spoons of fractionated coconut oil and massage this up and down their spine.

8.) Serenity: You could also diffuse 6-10 drops of Serenity or frankincense in the aromalite diffuser to help with calming their emotions down.

Remember to always dilute with coconut oil when applying topically. Always good to be on the safe side!

In Summary

You’ll want to make sure to use a roller bottle with every one of these essential oils along with a fractionated coconut oil since babies are smaller bodied and the oils are so concentrated. My basic recipe is 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil for every 5 drops of essential oil as you put it in a roller bottle.
